Always define `gnutls-available-p' even if GnuTLS is not available.

Work around bug in FreeBSD 9 awk, where /[[:cntrl:]]/ matches
ordinary text characters.
Be less tricky about quoting "'" in a shell script.

and temporaries. Add doc/misc/cc-mode.ss.
